On January 8, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan sentenced Dustin Rhine to 12 months of probation, a $2,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment. Rhine had previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the Clean Air Act. In April 2023, Rhine was charged along with 10 other individuals and 3 companies for their involvement in a scheme to disable the emissions controls on hundreds of semi-trucks.

On December 14, 2023, William Liebisch pleaded guilty in the Northern District of Georgia to one count of interference with a flight crew. A federal grand jury previously indicted Liebisch on December 6, 2022.
 
The investigation revealed that on November 11, 2022, Liebisch knowingly interfered with the flight crew’s duties on Frontier Flight 1761 by assault and intimidation. Specifically, Liebisch carried two box cutters aboard the aircraft and told at least one passenger that they intended to stab someone.

On December 7, 2023, Andres Diaz and Nicole Chiong,owners of Soho Alliance, LLC, and J-Spec Garage, LLC, pleaded guilty in the Criminal Court for Miami-Dade County, Florida to one count of organized scheme to defraud in the amount over $20,000 but less than $50,000. Diaz and Chiong were each sentenced to 5 years of probation, $10,000 in restitution, and a $598 special assessment.

On December 4, 2023, a grand jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma indicted Bruce Ryan Forbes on two counts of making a false statement and one count of obstructing a Government proceeding. The indictment alleged that, from about August 27, 2022, to on or about September 30, 2022, Forbes made false statements to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) about the cause of a plane crash. The indictment also alleged that, on or about October 2, 2023, Forbes made a false statement to a Special Agent of DOT-OIG about the cause of a plane crash.

On November 21, 2023, a grand jury in the District of Maryland indicted Sean Michael Kusterer for unlawfully operating an unmanned aircraft system (drone) and using it to interfere in wildfire response, operating an unregistered aircraft, and serving as an airman without an airman’s certificate.
 
The indictment alleges that on or about April 4, 2023, Kusterer operated a drone that recklessly interfered with wildfire suppression and law enforcement and emergency response efforts related to wildfire suppression.

On November 16, 2023, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) suspended Asphalt Specialists, Inc., and Daniel Israel, the former president and part-owner of Asphalt Specialists, from participating in all federally funded procurement and non-procurement programs.
 
On September 20, 2023, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan filed an information charging Israel with conspiring to commit bid-rigging. Subsequently, on October 30, Israel pleaded guilty for conspiring to rig bids for asphalt paving contracts in Michigan.
