Former Federal Law Enforcement Officer Sentenced for Violating Airport Security Requirements

On October 30, 2023, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland sentenced Supreme Jones, a former Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer, to 5 years of probation and a $50 special assessment. On the same date, Jones pleaded guilty to two counts of entering an aircraft or airport security area in violation of security requirements.
The investigation revealed that on or about February 21 and April 5, 2022, Jones knowingly and willfully entered an aircraft or airport area that serves an air carrier or foreign air carrier with the intent to evade security procedures and restrictions.
DOT-OIG conducted this investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), CBP, and Homeland Security Investigations.
