On March 28, 2023, the Inspector General testified before the House Appropriations Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee on the top management challenges facing the Department of Transportation. The Inspector General focused on three cross-cutting areas: (1) safety improvements, (2) stewardship of infrastructure spending, and (3) new transportation and workforce concerns.
