New Audit Announcements

On November 29, 2022, we announced a mandated attestation review of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) fiscal year 2022 National Drug Control Program. In December 2022, as permitted by the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Circular, NHTSA submitted a request for exemption, to which ONDCP did not object. As such, we are terminating the mandated attestation review. However, we have not reviewed NHTSA’s Drug Control Program activities since 2019, in which we identified significant report errors and omissions. Accordingly, we will soon announce a new audit of NHTSA’s Drug Control Program activities with revised objectives and scope.
