Airline Passenger Indicted for Interfering With a Flight Crew and Concealing a Dangerous Weapon on an Aircraft

On December 6, 2022, a grand jury in the Northern District of Georgia indicted William Allen Liebisch on charges of interfering with a flight crew and knowingly concealing a dangerous weapon on an aircraft. The indictment alleged that, on November 11, 2022, Liebisch interfered with the flight crew’s duties on Frontier Flight 1761, from Cincinnati to Tampa, by assaulting and intimidating, specifically, by carrying two box cutters and telling at least one passenger they intended to stab someone on the flight.
DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
