South Florida Student Pilot Sentenced For Making False Statements to FAA

On October 20, 2022, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida sentenced Cole Allan Peacock to 37 months of incarceration, 3 years of supervised release, and a $200 special assessment. The investigation revealed that in August 2019, Peacock forged an FAA flight instructor’s signature, which authorized Peacock to be the pilot-in-command on multiple flights, including those with passengers. In August 2020, Peacock submitted fraudulent records to FAA to falsely register as the true owner of a stolen Learjet 55.
