California Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Company Owner Charged with Aircraft Parts Fraud

On May 12, 2022, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California filed an information charging Aman Khan, owner of California Aircraft & Avionics Corporation, an aircraft parts manufacturing company, with aircraft parts fraud. According to the information, on or about September 29, 2021, Khan made and used a fraudulent Federal Aviation Administration airworthiness tag and certificate of conformance for aircraft parts made by Khan’s company.
 
DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Export Enforcement; Defense Criminal Investigative Service; Federal Bureau of Investigation; and National Aeronautics and Space Administration OIG.
