On April 15, 2022, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) suspended Metro Auto Importer, LLC’s registered importer registration for 270 days. The company knowingly submitted false and misleading certifications of conformance to NHTSA on vehicles imported from Canada.

 

DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with NHTSA.
