FAA Employee Sentenced for Involvement in Capitol Breach

On March 7, 2022, Kevin Strong, a former Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employee, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to 30 days of home detention with electronic monitoring, 24 months of probation, 60 hours of community service, $500 in restitution, and a $10 special assessment. On December 17, 2021, Strong pleaded guilty to participating in the January 6, 2021, riot held at the U.S. Capitol and to being present in the building without authorization. Surveillance footage showed Strong in the Rotunda and other areas of the Capitol.
