On January 25, 2022, Charles Hathaway was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to 3 years of probation, a $9,500 fine, and a $100 special assessment. In October 2021, Hathaway, a commercial pilot for an air charter company, pleaded guilty to making materially false statements to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
