FAA Employee Pleads Guilty for Involvement in Capitol Breach

On December 17, 2021, Kevin Strong, an FAA employee, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for participating in the riot at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021. The investigation revealed that Strong was present at the Capitol without authorization. Capitol Police surveillance footage showed Strong in the Capitol Rotunda, in hallways near House of Representatives office rooms, in the Statuary Hall Connector, and exiting through Senate Wing doors. Strong paraded, demonstrated, or picketed inside the Capitol without permission or after passing through security checkpoints.  

DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
