Investigations

On September 16, 2021, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Utah filed a criminal information against Jacob Splan, a former Utah Transit Authority (UTA) employee. The information alleged that Splan made a false statement to DOT-OIG and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents during an interview concerning the performance of concrete work. Splan allegedly claimed to have paid for the work when that was not the case.

 

DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the FBI, assisted by the UTA Police Department.
