CEO of Aviation Company Indicted for Bankruptcy Fraud

On April 8, 2021, a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia indicted Alan Russell Cook, Sr., Chief Executive Officer and President of Metropolitan Aviation. The charges included counts of bankruptcy fraud, fraudulent transfer and concealment, falsification of records in a bankruptcy proceeding, false bankruptcy declaration, and false statements in relation to a bankruptcy proceeding. The indictment alleges that between April 2016 and November 2017, Cook avoided paying creditors by concealing assets and filing for bankruptcy to fraudulently discharge debts.
