Investigations

On October 12, 2020, Jason Arteaga Loayza was arrested for conspiring to use drones to smuggle contraband, including tobacco and cell phones, into the Federal correctional facility at Fort Dix, and for possession with the intent to distribute narcotics. Arteaga Loayza was formerly an inmate at Fort Dix.

 

DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the Department of Justice OIG and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. The case is being criminally prosecuted by the Special Prosecutions Division, USAO, District of New Jersey.
