Owners of a South Florida Aircraft Parts Company Plead Guilty to Falsely Certifying Commercial Aircraft Parts

On August 6, 2020, Lillianne Lorenzo and Gary Partin plead guilty in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida for their roles in selling fraudulently certified commercial aircraft parts through their companies—Airline Operation Link and Air Carrier Accessory Services.

According to the indictment, between September 2015 through September 2016, Lorenzo and Partin conspired to alter aircraft part documentation—including FAA Form 8130 Airworthiness Approval Tags—for two jet aircraft constant speed drive components. They fraudulently certified that the aircraft parts were approved for installation in commercial aircraft. Lorenzo and Partin then used fraudulent traceability documentation to sell aircraft parts to aviation companies, often collecting the payments without ever supplying the parts.

DOT-OIG and the Department of Homeland Security-Homeland Security Investigations, with assistance from FAA, are conducting this investigation.
