Louisiana Trucking Owner Pleads Guilty and Sentenced for Operating Logging Trucks Without a License

On February 4, 2020, the U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana, accepted Joseph Malmay’s guilty plea on three counts of operating a commercial vehicle without a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and sentenced him to 90 days’ probation for each count, to be served concurrently. The court imposed a special condition ordering Malmay, the owner and operator of Jack Malmay Logging, not to operate a tractor/trailer without first obtaining the appropriate licenses.
