Washington Man Sentenced for Operating Plane Without an Airman’s Certificate
On February 4, 2020, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington sentenced John Edward Mermis of Kent, Washington, to 3 years’ probation, 40 days’ home detention, 40 hours’ community service, and a $100 special assessment. Mermis pleaded guilty to operating a plane without an airman’s certificate on September 10, 2019.
