Letter to OMB on DOT Status of Charge Card Open Recommendations

Required by the Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012

The Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012 requires us to periodically review the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) charge card and convenience check transactions, related programs, and implementation of our recommendations.. We did not issue any reports during fiscal year 2019. Currently, we are performing audits of DOT’s Purchase Card Program and Travel Card Program to evaluate controls over those programs. We do not have any open recommendations from previously completed charge card or convenience check transaction audits.
