Former Pennsylvania Bus Company Safety Manager Sentenced
On September 26, 2019, Ming Zhong Yu, a former safety manager for multiple passenger bus companies, was sentenced in U.S. District Court, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to 12 months of probation and $1,000 in fines and fees. Yu pled guilty in March 2019 to violating Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations by participating in a multi-State scheme to fraudulently operate commercial passenger bus companies. He admitted that at various times between 2005 and 2012, he failed to maintain accurate records, falsified records, or maintained intentionally incomplete records related to commercial vehicle inspections of buses involved in interstate commerce.
