Washington Man Pleads Guilty to Operating an Aircraft Without a Valid Pilot’s License
On August 20, 2019, John Edward Mermis pled guilty in U.S. District Court, Seattle, Washington, for operating an aircraft without a pilot’s license.
The plea agreement alleged that on July 6, 2017, Mermis operated a private aircraft as pilot in command without a valid pilot’s license at the Crest Airpark in Kent, WA. FAA had revoked Mermis’s commercial pilot’s license and flight instructor certification in 2005.
