FAA Administrative Officer Sentenced to 70 Months for Receiving Child Pornography
On July 1, 2019, Scott Pierson, a former FAA administrative officer at the Bradley Flight Standards District Office, Enfield, Connecticut, was sentenced to 70 months of imprisonment, 60 months of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment. The sentencing is pursuant to his March 2019 guilty plea to one count of receipt of child pornography. When he is released from prison, he is required to register as a sex offender.
The investigation determined that between approximately January 2018 and June 2018, Pierson knowingly received material containing images and videos of child pornography. DOT-OIG arrested him in July 2018.
DOT-OIG conducted this investigation with assistance from FAA’s Security Operations Center.
