FAA Administrative Officer Indicted on Child Pornography Charges

On September 27, 2018, Scott Pierson, an FAA administrative officer assigned to the Bradley Flight Standards District Office, Enfield, Connecticut, was indicted by a Federal grand jury in Hartford, Connecticut. He had been charged via criminal complaint with two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography. 

The indictment alleges that between approximately January 2018 and June 18, 2018, Pierson knowingly received and possessed material containing images and videos of child pornography. DOT-OIG agents arrested Pierson in July 2018.

DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with assistance from the FAA Security Operations Center.
