Connecticut Man Charged With Child Pornography Offense

On July 19, 2018, Scott Pierson of Vernon, Connecticut, was arrested for receiving and possessing child pornography via a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of Connecticut on July 18, 2018.
 
The criminal complaint alleges that in March 2018, Pierson, an administrative officer assigned to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Bradley Flight Standards District Office in Enfield, Connecticut, used his Government-issued laptop computer to access websites known to contain images of child pornography. Subsequent investigation revealed Pierson also downloaded and maintained numerous sexually explicit images and videos of children onto his Government-issued laptop and other external devices.
 
DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with assistance from the FAA Security Operations Center.
 
Note: Indictments, informations and criminal complaints, are only accusations by the Government. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
