California Man Indicted for Operating an Aircraft Without an Airman’s Certificate
On May 31, 2018, Arnold Peterson of Big Pine, California, was indicted in U.S. District Court, Fresno, California. The indictment alleged that on June 8, 2017, Peterson piloted a private aircraft into Eastern Sierra Regional Airport in Bishop, California, although he lacked an airman’s certificate. FAA had revoked his pilot’s license in 2014.
DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with FAA’s assistance.
