Vermont Man Arrested for Flying Without a Pilot’s License
On April 10, 2018, Angelo Efthimiatos was arrested by Federal agents in Rutland, Vermont, for operating a Piper aircraft without a pilot’s license. FAA revoked his airman’s license in 2014 after he pleaded guilty to drug-related charges. Efthimiatos made his initial court appearance in U.S. District Court, District of Vermont, and is being detained. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for April 20.
DOT-OIG is investigating this case with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
