On March 13, 2018, Roy E. Maynard, owner of Viking Propane, Alba, Missouri, was sentenced in U.S. District Court, Springfield, Missouri, to 5 years’ probation and a $100 special assessment fee for illegally transporting hazardous materials in interstate commerce.

In November 2017, Maynard pleaded guilty to transporting liquefied petroleum gas without a commercial driver’s license to multiple customers in Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri from May 2015 through April 2017.
