Georgia Man Pleads Guilty To Making False Statements
On March 6, 2018, Carroll Brandt Godwin of Waco, Georgia, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, Atlanta, Georgia, to one count of making false statements to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The investigation disclosed that on September 1, 2015, Godwin submitted false medical information to FAA’s Aerospace Medical Certification Division in connection with his online application for an airman’s medical certificate. FAA previously denied Godwin’s application for a certificate in February 2015.
