Audit Initiated of FAA's Fiscal Years 2018 and 2017 Consolidated Financial Statements
We are initiating an audit of Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) fiscal year 2018 and 2017 consolidated financial statements in compliance with the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990. The objective of this audit is to express an opinion on whether FAA’s financial statements are fairly presented, in all material respects, in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States. KPMG LLP, an independent audit firm, will perform the audit, subject to OIG oversight and in accordance with generally accepted Government auditing standards and the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) audit requirements. The audit report will be delivered to OMB, the Department of Treasury, and the Government Accountability Office by November 15, 2018.
