Letter to OMB on DOT OIG Charge Card Recommendations

Required by the Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012
Project ID:
CC2018001

The Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012 requires us to report to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on the Department of Transportation’s implementation of recommendations made to address findings from audits of DOT charge card programs. During fiscal year 2014, we issued one report on DOT’s travel card program. We made four recommendations to strengthen program controls and reduce program costs. DOT agreed to implement all four of our recommendations; however, one recommendation remains open.
