South Florida Pilot Indicted for Operating an Aircraft Without a License
On December 7, 2017, Robert Charles Jones Brady, owner, Beach Aviation, Boca Raton, Florida, was indicted in U.S. District Court, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for operating an aircraft without an airman’s certificate, wire fraud, and falsification of records in a Federal investigation.
The indictment alleges that Brady, through Beach Aviation, received compensation for numerous charter flights and flight instruction services without Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) authorization. In addition, he operated a private turbojet aircraft without the required FAA-type rating. In 2016, all of Brady’s legitimate FAA certificates were revoked, and yet he continued to operate aircraft.
DOT-OIG is conducting this investigation with the assistance of FAA.
