Former FAA Employee Pleads Guilty to Theft of Government Property
On October 16, 2017, Joshua Schultz, a former FAA employee, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, District of Utah, to one count of theft of Government property for making personal purchases with Government credit cards issued by FAA. Schultz was previously indicted on May 17, 2017.
The investigation disclosed that from February 18, 2016, to February 22, 2016, Schultz made unauthorized purchases and cash withdrawals on a Government purchase card and a Government travel card. The charges and withdrawals totaled over $8,000.
DOT-OIG conducted this investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and Utah Department of Public Safety.
