Virginia Man Charged for Flying Aircraft Without an Airman's Certificate

On July 22, 2017, Gray piloted a 1972 Piper single engine aircraft and crashed upon landing at the Umphlett Airstrip in Suffolk, Virginia. Prior to the crash, FAA had warned Gray he was not authorized to fly aircraft because he did not possess a valid airman or medical certificate.
