Former FAA Employee Indicted for Theft and Conversion of Property for Personal Use
On May 17, 2017, Joshua Schultz, a former FAA employee, was indicted in U.S. District Court, District of Utah, for theft of Government property and embezzlement or conversion of property by a Federal employee.
The indictment alleged that from February 18, 2016, to February 22, 2016, Schultz made unauthorized purchases and cash withdrawals on two Government-issued credit cards. The charges and withdrawals totaled over $8,000.
DOT-OIG is conducting the investigation jointly with the FBI and Utah Department of Public Safety.
Note: Indictments, informations, and criminal complaints are only accusations by the Government. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
