NHTSA Clerk to Repay Money Stolen from Public Coffers

Mary L. Guthrie, a NHTSA data control clerk in Washington, DC, was ordered by a U.S. District Court judge in the District of Columbia to repay $5,173 in stolen public money. Guthrie pleaded guilty on July 26, to forging the signature of a deceased family member on U.S. Treasury checks in order to cash them.
