Missouri Trucking Company Fined $25,000 for Hours-of-Service Violations

Affton Trucking Company, Inc., St. Louis, MO, which transports hazardous materials in interstate commerce, agreed to pay a $25,000 fine after pleading guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis for failure to keep proper drivers’ records. Affton violated the hours-of-service limits on drivers’ hours, instructing its drivers to falsify and alter their daily logs in order to hide the violations. This was a joint investigation by OIG, the FBI, and FMCSA.
