New Jersey Woman Sentenced for Selling Counterfeit Commercial Driver's Licenses

On January 12, Susana Marta Koorie, of Hackensack, New Jersey, was ordered by a U.S. District Court judge in Alexandria, Virginia, to serve 6 months of home detention, 2 years supervised probation, and to pay a $100 fine for her role in a conspiracy to commit identification fraud. In August and September 2003, Koorie conspired with other employees of Covitta Trucking Company to sell three counterfeit New Jersey commercial driver’s licenses to individuals in Virginia and New Jersey at a cost of $2,300 each. To date, seven other defendants have been sentenced in this case and another three have outstanding warrants.
