Former Commercial Pilot Pleads Guilty to Falsifying Medical Certificates
A former airline pilot for Allegheny Airlines, Reza Ostadali of Forest Hill, MD, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Baltimore, MD, to presenting a false medical certificate to FAA on five separate occasions. FAA requires airline pilots to periodically submit a medical certificate of examinations by a physician. Ostadali certified that a physician examined him on five occasions between April 2000 and August 2002, when the doctor last examined him in October 1996. Ostadali is scheduled to be sentenced June 28.
