Florida Man Indicted for Flying Without an Airman Certificate

On November 20, 2013, Reginald Wayne Sibley, Jr., Owner, Intelijet Air, Inc., Orlando, Florida, was indicted in U.S. District Court, Orlando, Florida, for operating an aircraft without an airman's certificate and false statements.

The indictment alleges Sibley fraudulently received $26,133 for operating passenger flights without the required Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificate. Sibley made the flights by fraudulently claiming to have authorization under the certificate number of an approved Air Taxi Operator based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is also alleged that Sibley operated as the pilot in command of an aircraft that traveled from Orlando, Florida, to California without the required rating for this type aircraft, and that he failed to disclose his criminal history on an FAA application for an airman medical certificate.

We are conducting this investigation with the assistance of the FAA.
