February 02, 2001
James Franklin Howell was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Dallas to 10 months' jail and 36 months' supervised release for violating the terms of his probation. In December 1999, Howell was sentenced to 3 years' probation for falsifying a FAA airman certificate. Howell violated his probation last January when he again falsified another FAA document, an Application for Airman Medical Certificate. OIG investigated this case with assistance from the FAA.
