What is RSS?

RSS or "Really Simple Syndication" is an easy way of keeping up with news and information that's important to you by gathering it in one place on your computer. This content is called a "feed."

An RSS reader is a small software program that collects and displays RSS feeds. It allows you to scan headlines from a number of news sources in a central location. Many RSS readers also alert you when new content from your favorite web sites is delivered.

Where Can I Get an RSS Reader?

Some browsers, such as the current versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari have built in RSS readers. If you're using a browser that doesn't currently support RSS, there are a variety of RSS readers available on the web; some are free to download, some are available for purchase, and still others may be accessed through free online accounts.

How Do I Subscribe to OIG RSS Feeds?

Subscribe to OIG RSS feeds in a way that best fits your needs, by DOT Agency, subject matter or document type, or subscribe to all current information released on our web site. Subscribing to RSS feeds may require different steps depending on your feed reader, however, the most common method is to copy the URL (web address) of the feed you want into your RSS reader. To subscribe to any OIG RSS feed, simply follow any of the links to the right and copy the URL shown in your browser's web address bar into your RSS feed reader.
